Share Your Story
Tell Me About Your Baby is an oral history project with the purpose to collect, preserve, and share the often untold or silenced stories of miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, and infant loss, and to talk about the grief that accompanies these losses. My own loss was reality-shattering. I want to share my story. I want to share my son’s story. And I want to hear about you and your baby(ies). It is my hope that in the telling and sharing of these stories, we can create a space where we can openly talk about our experiences of babyloss. Further, I hope these stories can foster awareness about these experiences that, though common, are still painful and it’s sometimes difficult to find support. I believe that in sharing these stories about our babies, we can curate better support networks within medical environments, the workplace, in legislation, amongst friends, and at home.
So. I invite you to tell me about your baby.
Share your story through an interview. I understand that your story is deeply personal, meaningful, and heartbreaking. It is my honor to greet your story with care, sensitivity, and confidentiality. Your participation as a narrator in this project is strictly voluntary, and your privacy is important. You can choose to cease all forms of participation at any time and rescind your story. The story is always yours.
You have the choice to be interviewed through a video recording, an audio recording, in-person, or over zoom. If you do not wish to sit for an oral history, you can provide a written account or answer a survey of questions. I would love to chat prior to the interview in order to introduce myself properly, explain my work, and gain a better understanding of your expectations. Again, this can be done in-person or online.
